What I Missed About Living with My Roommate

Sure we are moving back into a small box but that cannot put my excitement to rest.

What I Missed About Living with My Roommate

I spent three very long months away from my roommate and as of yesterday I was able to see her again. I cannot explain my excitement for this day. So here are five of the many things I missed about my roommate.

1. Always having someone to come home to. I could have had the worst day in the world and my roommate is the person that I want to see at the end of the day. She is who I want to tell what happened in my day, even if she doesn’t always listen.

2. Never having to eat alone. Having a roommate also means that you have a dinner date every night. I find the cafeteria mildly intimidating, so now I can always eat an insane amount of ice cream with another person.

3. Being able to start a TV series together. Gone are the days of watching Netflix shows alone all of the time. This also makes the both of you go out of your comfort zone of specific genres.

4. Sharing things. After living with one another for a year already there isn’t much that we aren’t willing to share. If I forget something I have no worries that she won’t have it, and vice versa.

5. Being able to live my best friend. I have the amazing opportunity of being able to live my best friend for eight months out of the year. My roommate turned out to be an unexpected best friend and I couldn’t be happier.

There are the five things that I truly missed about living my roommate, and trust me there were thousands more but I thought I would keep the list short and sweet.
