What A Millennial Gentleman Should Look Like

Millennials are generally categorized as a generation born between the years 1980-2000. Presently, Millennials contribute to the highest population share in the world. A great many things have been said about their behavior and characteristics, but they are unique in their own way. As every generation is different than the other, millennials are also just that - different.

The traits that define the personality of a millennial gentleman are his confidence, motivation, sense of freedom and equality, innovative thinking, and a modern outlook.

The Millennial generation is the first in history that has grown up totally surrounded by digital technology, and it created a huge influence in shaping their social, cultural and political outlooks.

It’s not at all difficult to understand millennials, but maybe a different viewpoint is required for that. Here, I will discuss some more traits of a millennial gentleman, in detail, that define their personalities and just might help you understand.

1. He's technologically advanced.

Because millennials have grown up in the middle of the digital world, they belong to the most tech savvy generation ever. It is the first generation that remains constantly connected to the world through the use of the internet. PCs, smart devices, smartphones are a part of their daily life. They do everything with the use of technology. Brands like Apple, Microsoft, Samsung, Bose, and HEOS are some of the top technology brands that serve an important role in appeasing the technology thrust of millennials.

2. Instead of old beliefs, he relies on facts.

Millennials are conscious people who believe in logic, as opposed to blindly believing the sayings of older generations. They like to have reasoning behind, and proof of, everything.

3. He's educated and aware.

Millennial gentlemen are the most educated people till date. In 2016, America had distributed the highest number of bachelor’s, master’s, professional and doctorate degrees of all time.

Millennials are an aware generation. Not only do they have extensive knowledge about the field in which they specialize, but they also possess an all-inclusive knowledge of different fields as well. They're jacks of all trades.

They stay updated with the latest technologies and trends, too - either by subscribing to online resources, or with magazines like PrimeMagazine or Forbes.

4. He is ambitious.

Millennial gentlemen are ambitious, and they possess very clear thoughts about just how they are going to achieve their goals. Their dreams are not bounded by the limitations of area or language; instead, they can conquer the world with their intelligence, confidence, honesty, and hard work.

5. He's a global citizen.

Today's millennial gentleman doesn't like to bind himself in limitations of distance and boundaries, and that’s why they love to be called global citizens. They love exploring the world, different cultures, and the lifestyles of people throughout the globe.

6. He's a frequent traveler.

The thrill of exploring different places, cultures, and traditions on their own makes the millennial gentleman a frequent traveler. Unlike people of older generations, they are smart when travelling and know exactly what they are seeking. Not to mention, technology also helps them to become smart travelers. They can make reservations for flights, hotels, rental cars, and even entire vacation packages directly from the palm of their hand. They know how to pack the right things, such as comfortable walking shoes and packing cubes, because all it takes is a quick Google search. They like to do everything with perfection, accuracy, and efficiency.

Being smart travelers, they know how to make their trips the most enjoyable, and that’s why they always prefer to carry the most comfortable shoes along. OTBT, New Balance, Cole Haan, Adidas, Nike are some of the brands that they prefer the most.

7. He believes in generating a profit by creating a positive impact on society.

Millennials are a generation that can think in multi-dimensional ways. But millennial gentlemen believe in profit-making; no matter what business you are in, work should always progress in a positive direction to gain maximum profit.

They are equally concerned about the impacts that their actions are going to have on society. Millennials always take care to impact the society in a positive way.

8. He prefers to look good.

It’s not only about the technology, business, and profit. Since they are so very self-aware, they prefer to look good. They know what is going to suit their style. They prefer brands for quality and style. They know how to keep it unique and presentable while at work, outings or home.

9. He follows his own rules.

It’s hard to "force" millennials follow a certain set of rules, unless they are convinced and willing to do so. They don’t like to follow things blindly until they found a concrete reason for doing so. They like to make their own set of rules, and they definitely don’t like unnecessary interference.

10. He earns respect by giving it.

Millennial gentlemen know the importance of respect and loyalty in relationships. They love truly, but also don’t tolerate any cheating. Whether it concerns their life-partner or any other relationship (even casual ones) - they know all the secrets of winning hearts.

The millennial gentlemen is knowledgeable, confident, practical, ambitious, outgoing. and who respects others’ culture and society, and their personalities are defined by these traits only.
