It's been just over a month since the first day of fall fell upon us - but the weather is finally starting to catch up with the season. With that being said, most of us have been ready for all things fall since the middle of July. Fall is probably my favorite season because of these five things.

1. It's sweater weather

Fall temperatures in Northwest Indiana are some of the best around, especially for someone like me who loves wearing sweaters and hoodies. With it being chilly but not too chilly, you can finally break out your North Faces, knit sweaters and your favorite scarves for cute and extremely comfy fall outfits.

2. The treats

If you're big on Pinterest or on baking in general, you're probably aware of all the fall recipes there are. I find the apple and pumpkin flavors often go unappreciated - perhaps because people push them off as overrated. Pumpkin donuts are probably my favorite treat tied with Pumpkin Pie Blizzards from your local Dairy Queen.

3. Bonfires

Going along with the sweater weather, fall also graces us with the perfect weather for having a bonfire. I absolute love the idea of s'mores, a campfire and having a great time with great friends on chilly nights.

4. Leaves

Fall is absolutely beautiful especially when the leaves start to change colors, even when they're on the ground they find a way to make everything look beautiful .

5. Apple/pumpkin picking

Not only does this make for a great date, or a fun family outing, but there is normally so much to do at places like pumpkin patches and apple orchards. From pumpkin carving to corn mazes and baking an apple pie, this is what makes fall, well fall.

While summer, spring and winter each having their own special things that make them admirable, I must say fall takes the cake and I love every bit of it.

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

To The Cheerful Person On Their Rainy Days, You Are Valid

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.
