My whole life I’ve had a deep desire to travel. When I was little I collected post cards and glass paperweights of different cities’ skylines. I’ve spent countless hours in many different airports, flown on every different kind of airplane--small and large, and been to a few different places. The list goes NYC, New Jersey, Florida, San Diego, North Carolina, Texas, D.C., Pennsylvania. Hopefully soon it’ll expand to Hawaii, Colorado and a hundred others. Traveling is an amazing experience that is always unique. To be up in the air, to realize the complexity of the transportation that millions of people use every day, to see all the sights, touristy and local beauties gives me a profound sense of joy.
Each and every place has a specific culture, a different brand of people and getting to take part in their city is something to cherish. Basically, catching the travel bug is like getting a illness that can only be treated but not cured. It’s an unshakeable feeling of always wanting to be elsewhere. It turns you into a gypsy, an adventurer and someone so fluent in the language of travel that you don’t stick out like the average tourist.
The travel bug makes you curious about every experience! It’s heartbreaking to stand on the sidelines and see other peoples’ travel pictures, but you can almost imagine yourself being there with them. Flipping through travel magazines or scrolling through my Facebook newsfeed fills me with jealously because being in college keeps me in the same city for months at a time and the tuition cuts into my travel budget. A great source for travel tips is my Pinterest account and if anyone has any trips that they need a travel buddy for, don’t be afraid to hit me up! I’m down for just about anything that makes my passport more colorful!
