What It Is Like To Attend Penn

People are quick to assume what it is like to attend a school like Penn or any Ivy League school for that matter. Some think, according to Playboy magazine, that we are the number one party school. Others believe that you couldn't catch us out unless it was our Spring Fling. Well here is the run down of what it is actually like to go to Penn vs. what people think.


1. You believe that this school is filled with anxiety riddled nerds.
 

While in reality, we actually are just good looking, intelligent people.
 

2. You believe that our dining hall looks like Hogwarts.

 

While actually our dining halls look something more like this:

3. You think that our main conversations are about GPAs, SAT scores and how many AP classes you took.

In truth, we still talk about sports, politics and of course our daily dose of gossip like a normal college student.

4. You believe that our weekends are spent stuck in a library. 

But, most of the time, it looks kind of like this. 

5. You think that our sports history is the greatest of them all. 

But contrary to popular belief, this is not Penn State...

...and our sports teams may not be as celebrated as we hoped. 

6. You may think that our Spring Fling looks something like this. 

It actually it looks something like this. 

7. You may think that our cramming for finals look something like this.

 

Yep, that looks about right...  
...and sometimes this:

8. You probably think our only focus in college is to make money and become wealthy...

But we also make those life-long, coveted college friendships, and if we have to also be rich to get that, we'll take it.
