In times of stress and uncertainty, I always turn to television and movies to give me a sense of comfort and normalcy. So, here are the shows and movies I've been watching in quarantine.

Outer Banks- This show has something for everyone. It's a murder-mystery/steamy romance/class struggle all rolled into one. The show came out on Netflix on April 15, and the hype isn't slowing down.

Never Have I Ever- I was a little nervous to watch this show, as I try to stay away from overly-awkward situations. However, this show was so damn funny that I will probably watch it again. If you need a heartwarming story that is also hilarious, this show is for you.

Stranger Things- I watched Stranger Things for the third time in quarantine. While this show hasn't come out with any new content since July 2019, the show pulls you in and makes you forget about your own life for a while.

Scoob!- I watched a lot of Scooby Doo movies, so when I heard they were releasing a new one, I was a little skeptical. My family rented the movie on demand, and let me tell you: it's a tearjerker. I recommend watching this for the childhood nostalgia and the belly laughs that come with Scooby and Shaggy's shenanigans.

The Goldbergs- The tales of this suburban Jewish family in the '80s are perfect for when you need something funny and feel-good. Beverly Goldberg's motherly meddling are perfect for when you can't stand to watch anything sad.

Dirty Dancing- This movie is by no means new, but the 80s nostalgia coupled with a picturesque summer retreat make this one of my favorite rainy-day movies.

Tangled- I recently watched this movie for the first time in probably five years, and I forgot how good it is! The music (composed by Alan Menken) is beautiful and catchy. I think everyone can relate to Rapunzel a little too well right now.

High School Musical the Musical the Series- I was reluctant to watch this show because I thought it was going to be a remake of the original High School Musical movies. I was pleasantly surprised to find how funny this rockumentary is.

I'm sure I have watched much more than what is on this list, but these were my personal favorites. Aside from a few serious or awkward moments, these shows and movies are perfect for when the quarantine feels get you down.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
