When you think about your grandparents you automatically assume there's two of them. I had the privilege to have gotten to just know my grandmas on both sides. Unfortunately, that came to an end when I lost my Busha when I was only 5 years old. But fortunately, I still have my other grandma, Nana who means just as much as my Guardian Angels.

When I was growing up, I always asked about my grandpas because I wanted to know every single thing about them. Asking questions about them sparked my curiosity because they died suddenly. The most popular question I tend to ask is "wanting to know what they are like?" Another question I ask is why they had to leave so soon.

Finding old videos of my grandpas, a beautiful day in the sky and having dreams about them make me feel connected in some type of way for numerous reasons; one reason is because whenever I see them smiling in videos I can imagine they're smiling down on me in Heaven. Another reason I feel connected is I can just feel their presence around me as I look up into the sky. Having dreams have shown me the legend that they're trying to send me a message, give me advice or even a warning.

Whenever I hear stories about them back in the day it makes me want to know the details. The details I want to hear everything that happened, but I know someday down the road when I go off to Heaven they will tell me everything.

None of my siblings and I couldn't meet my dad's dad because he passed away early and my mom's dad passed away in '94 so my cousins and I never got the chance, my sister only knew him for a year. But with the stories my Nana and Aunt Ann tells us all the stories about him & makes us feel like we knew him in a way. My dad tells us everything about our other Grandpa and it's the best thing hearing them talk about them as if they never left us.

Whenever we visit my grandpa's graves I always give them updates about what has happened. Graduated high school, started college, I'm going to become a Special Education teacher.

Don't you two worry now, I have had the honor of my friends' Grandpas playing the role as you. But nobody can replace you.

I love you to the moon and back & I hope to see you soon

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
