What It's Like To Go Out As Told By SNL

Being in college, going out to bars is the norm. Even though it is literally the same thing every time, we just can't seem to not go. No matter how bad the hangover or how bad the experience, we can't stay away.

I was pondering the other day about how I could write a play by play on what it's really like to go out in college. But instead of me doing this, I decided to let the lovely of people of "Saturday Night Live" do all of the talking.

What's listed below is not specific to me. I've gathered research from friends, enemies and professors on what their take on going out is. Below you will see my really mature findings.

Enjoy.

1. You begin the night out with your squad and talk to no one but each other (at first).

2. But you already somehow managed to separate you from your friends, and you feel like a lost child looking for their mom in a Dillard's.

3. When you find them, you decide to take shots and proceed to make this attractive face after.

4. Then you have to potty and you ask random strangers in the bathroom if you look okay...

5. …And then proceed to become best friends with them and immediately follow them on all social media including LinkedIn.

6. You then find your friends and get on stage because that is where y'all are meant to be.

7. Now you need another drink and get annoyed at the bartender for not coming to you fast enough.

8. You already tripped, but it's totally not your fault it's because of your shoes, duh! (Not really.)

9. And of course, it's packed, and you feel bad when you bump into someone.

10. But when someone bumps into you it's the end of the world.

11. Then you see your friend's ex walk in, and you go into full on protective mode.

12. And when he tries to talk to her, you are like absolutely not.

13. But praise! You meet a cute boy and he buys you a drink, and you are now on top of the world.

14. But he actually turned out to be a creep because of course, he is.

15. And now your song comes on, and all is right again.

16. And you proceed to sing because drunk you is obviously the voice of our generation.

17. But then the DJ starts to play the most over-played songs.

18. And you're just like…

19. So you and your friends proceed to take more shots because, why not.

20. And now you don't even feel like being out anymore, because all you want is food.

21. And you also are really starting to feel those shots.

22. And shots make you pretty weird. Like too weird for social interaction.

23. So you try to tell one of your friends you are leaving but she's talking to a boy, so you peace.

24. But not before announcing your departure to the bar, because you know everyone is really worried about your whereabouts.

25. So you get an Uber and are pumped because there is no surge! #TheLittleThings

26. But sadly, you unsuccessfully convince the driver to take you to get food.

27. And you also try to tell him about your life, but he just doesn't care.

28. And now you're home safe and vow to go out less.

29. One day you will grow up, but until then…

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
