What It's Like To Be In Love

If you've ever been in true love you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. There's that one person who drives you absolutely crazy. In good ways and bad. You fight over the dumbest stuff, but at the end of the day there's no one else you'd rather get in bed next to every night. You feel so loved, supported, and important. They make you feel good about yourself. They never tear you down. They make you feel beautiful on your worst days. They make you laugh even when you aren't sure you even remember how to smile.

When you're in love you'll do anything just so to see that one person smile. You'd drop everything just to make sure that their needs were met. You fight for them every day. No fight is too big or lasts too long. After a fight, you go back ten minutes later and it's like the whole thing never happened. The feelings you have never go away. They just keep getting stronger and stronger every single day.

You hear a love song and suddenly it's not cheesy and stupid anymore. You think of that person and smile. Maybe even shed a tear because you realize how lucky you are to have someone like them in your life. Any time something bad happens, you run to them like they are your shelter. You need them more than you need air. You can't get enough of them. The thought about them being with anyone else except you makes you physically sick.

They are home. They put your heart at ease. Things with them seem simple. When all hell breaks loose, they are the one you run to. You don't have to think about anything except the fact that you know that you are a hundred percent safe when you are with them. You are safe from physical harm, mental stress, and emotional pain. They are your sanctuary. They are your assurance that there is still some good in this chaotic world. They are your rock. The one stable thing you have. They are your home.

With them, you feel like you can conquer the entire world. No task is too big and no problem is too complicated with them by your side. Superman has nothing on you when you're in love. You'll do anything to make sure they are safe too.

But the most amazing thing about being in love is they make you realize that being in love is as great as it seems in the movies. Yes, you have your downfalls and fights but the love you receive and give is worth so much more than any of the negative things you could ever endure in your relationship.

Being in love with the right one will be one of the best things that will ever happen to you. I promise.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
