Alone time? Never heard of it.

I live in a house with over 100 girls. When people first hear this, they say “OMG don’t you hate that? I could never do that,” and I tell them “Actually, I love it. I am living the dream.” Imagine living in a dorm but with 100 of your best friends.

Yeah, maybe one day it will be nice to have my own space.

But for the next two years, I am living in Barbie’s Dream House and I have no complaints.

“Does anyone have ____?”

Literally anything. An Eeyore onesie? Room 224. A green afro wig? Got it over here in room 318. Whatever you think you need I promise someone in the house has it.

“Cookies are out in the kitchen”

When this message hits the GroupMe you have never heard a louder stampede of 20-year-old girls running downstairs to eat the snack for the night or whatever goodies the fraternity down the street dropped off for us.

Girls are grosser than you think

The number of texts sent in the GroupMe about people leaving a mess, not cleaning up after themselves, and various bathroom issues that I won’t describe would leave you astounded. It’s still a huge step up from a fraternity house, but all girls aren’t as clean as one would like to imagine.

You will ALWAYS have someone

Whether it’s someone to go to Target with, go out with, do homework with, stay in and watch a movie with, cry to, laugh with, there is always someone somewhere that will be there for you. Even if you’re just sitting together in silence. Alone time? Never heard of it.

It’s always a party

OK, so, yeah, sororities can’t actually have parties, but it always feels like there is one going on. Have a bad day? Your roommates will turn on the disco ball and crank throwback jams and have a dance party. Bored? Time to cram 10 girls into one tiny room with 4 beds to watch a movie and gossip. It’s like a sleepover every night with your besties.

It’s a sanctuary away from boys

Yeah, it can be a lot sometimes. There’s a lot of estrogen going on in there. Lots of tears, makeup, clothes and emotions. But all of that still beats having to deal with the male species.

If you ever have the opportunity to live in a mansion with 100 of your best friends, I highly recommend it. There aren't really words that can describe what it's like living here, but if you aren't living how we're living, well, I just feel bad for you.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
