What It's Like: Awards Show

Namaste, readers,

Long time no talk. This past weekend I was so lucky to attend my first awards show: the Emmy Prime Selects, the premier event for those of us behind the scenes in the industry (producers, directors, post-prod masters, DP's, etc) who have contributed to those Emmy-winning productions. It. Was. EPIC!

I got to meet the fab folks who make the magic happen behind the scenes, like the producers and editors of some of my favorite shows (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Making a Murderer, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Mike & Molly, etc.). The important thing is, though, that you have to be very, very bold and do your homework on the shows.

It's a huge dream of mine to be up there on that stage as a producer one day, but, for now, I'm here majoring in BCA... I've got time! Check out what went down at the Academy last Saturday here...

As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep.
