So many guys think they have to buy us this and give us this and take us here. Guys, I promise we are not difficult.

To spoil us, you do not have to break the bank. Here are a few easy peasy things that we consider to be spoiling.

1. Spend time with us.

Duh, this is the most important. Whether we are watching movies, running errands, or with friends. It doesn't matter as long as we are with you. At the same time, make time for us. If you have to give up time with your boys for one night then so be it. We are worth it.

2. Show us off.

We LOVE when you talk about us to your friends, take us out with you to family events, to see friends, post about us, etc. When you let people know we are together, that we are taken, that oh love us it's one of the best feelings.

3. Take us out.

Everyone loves a relaxing night in but girls love to get all dolled up, especially when it's for our guys. This doesn't mean it has to be an extremely expensive dinner or happen every week. Let us curl our hair, put on a cute dress and go to Applebee's.

4. Flowers.

Okay, my biggest thing. I would rather receive a $1 box of candy from the store than $100 worth of flowers that will die with in the next week. Flowers are GORGEOUS but pick some off the road, buy them from Giant. They will die anyway.

5. Let us know you think of us.

Randomly text us, telling us how much you love us, miss us, what you love about us, etc but make it come from the heart. I PROMISE when it comes to effort and heartfelt gestures nothing is "corny". When you stop at the gas station to get gas and a soda, pick us up a box of our favorite candy or chips. The fact that you thought of us without us being there, without us telling you, on your own will make our hearts melt more than anything.

Tip: holidays and anniversaries are important, but a random gift on a Tuesday just because is more romantic than flowers on Valentine's Day. Now, this doesn't mean you can skip the holidays, this means that effort is not limited to holidays.

6. Make the plans.

Stop asking us what we want to do or where we want to eat. You already know that we don't have an answer. "I don't know" is always our go to. This is part of your duties sometimes. Tell us to get ready, pick us up and take us somewhere. Yet again, the place doesn't matter but extra brownie points if it's one of our favorite places.

7. Cute names.

Give us cute little names, whether it's baby, baby girl, honey, something funny, etc. We will L O V E it!

8. Just put in the effort.

You treat us good and we will treat you better. Some guys think that relationships are drowning, little do they know that we are what keeps you a float. Take the 5 seconds out of your day to text us good morning or good night. Let us know if you're busy. Treat us with respect. Remember how you treated us at the beginning to win us over? Yeah, still do that. Just because you have us doesn't mean you can't lose us.

9. Be a gentleman.

Hold the door open for us when walking into a building, open our door when getting into the car, offer to carry our bags, pay for dinner, offer to help clean etc. Girls are capable of doing all of these things but it is nice to not have to. Sometimes the girl will pay and that is perfectly fine. Don't expect her to do it all.

10. Do things for us because you want to.

Do not feel as if you HAVE to do them. You should want to do all of these things for us because we are worth it. Because we are important to you. Because you love us.

To sum it all up, take time and put in the effort and we will be happily spoiled forever.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
