What It Means To Me, To Represent GPhiB
Dewey Jordan Copley

I am constantly highlighting my appreciation for my fraternity, Sigma Phi Epsilon. Though they are an extremely important aspect of my life, I am blessed to have a second family – Gamma Phi Beta. I had the honor to be named a Gamma Phi Beta Moonman during my sophomore year of college. For those who may not know, what this means is, I get to to represent an entire sorority being a male. I get to promote them and live by their principles, as well as my own fraternity’s. I am still humbled by this honor and want to take this time to express my appreciation.

Gamma Phi Beta are women building strong girls. They are promoting the importance of young girls to think positive, building self-confidence, and inspiring the leaders of tomorrow! I find this to be so inspiring myself. In today’s society, young girls are always having to defy the odds. To try a little harder. To be a little smarter. To go a little farther. All that combined leads to unhealthy anxiety. So, to know that there is an organization like Gamma Phi Beta that exists to help these girls is phenomenal. Better yet, to know I get to represent a group of women who does this, is something I will forever be grateful for! When I wear their letters (screen-print, of course) there is a sense of honor that feels my body. Honor that, their organization is supporting girls in the long-term, not momentarily.

Though I am biased, to have the opportunity to represent the best sorority on campus is incredible! They are the most down to earth, smartest, prettiest, funniest, best all around women on campus. They know how to have a conversation with anyone and make everybody feel included – they definitely made myself feel at home. They know how to have fun and be successful as well. They are leaders on campus and people know the quality of women in Gamma Phi Beta. When I walk around campus and see the beautiful women of GPhiB, it never fails that it makes my entire day. No matter if I am having a rough day or not, they never fail to put a smile on my face.

To know that I have Gamma Phi Beta to rely on is something that is irreplaceable. To not only have 60+ brothers, but 70+

sisters to go to for anything is something I could never imagine doing without. At this time, I just want to thank Gamma Phi Beta for all you all have given me. Thank you for accepting me into your family. Thank you for giving me some of the best memories that I will cherish forever. Thank you for being genuine women. All in all, thank you for being you and allowing myself to represent you all. I promise to always love you all to the moon and back and put you on the pedestal you all deserve!

As the famous phrase says and it definitely holds true: "If I Weren't A Guy, I'd Go Gamma Phi!"

an image of taylor swift standing center stage surrounded by her backup dancers in elegant peacock esque outfits with a backdrop of clouds and a box rising above the stage the image captures the vibrant aesthetics and energy of her performance during the lover era of her eras tour

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
