What It Means To Be A Pisces

All hail the kings and queens born on February 19th to March 20th. The zodiac sign that is ruled by Neptune, the Pisces symbol is a pair of fish swimming in unison, representing the life after death. Pisces main strengths are being compassionate, gentle, artistic, friendly and selfless. However, Pisces also tend to be emotional, overthinking, fearful, and naïve.

Life as a Pisces is magical and sometimes overwhelming of course. If you’re a Pisces or know someone that is, you might find these traits relatable:

You see everything from both sides.

No matter how controversial the topic may be, you tend to see things from both viewpoints. This can be the best and worst quality about you. Your intuition allows you to give everyone the benefit of the doubt no matter what kind of rumors you hear just because you simply understand where they’re coming from.

You are empathetic.

When you ask someone how he or she is doing, you genuinely mean it. You’ll really listen to them if they allow it. Your friends are able to confide in you because you’re trustworthy and can understand what they’re feeling (even if you’ve never experienced it). When hearing people’s problems, you soak up what they’re feeling and offer the best care. Basically their problems are your problems now.

You’re always daydreaming.

You know that your attention span is short because you’re always spaced out. You find yourself frequently looking out the window just dozing off. People assuming something is wrong with you, when in reality you’re in deep thought, just thinking ‘bout life. Random thoughts are always flooding your mind while your creative gears are grinding.

Your kindness is often taken for granted.

You are not the argumentative type, but someone could cross you a hundred times and you will still forgive them. You are able to admit your own flaws and own up to your wrong doings, but sometimes you’ll find yourself apologizing for something you didn’t do. That’s just because you value friendship so much that you’re willing to see past all of the flaws, and you’ll do anything to make sure everything is okay. Your kindness is everlasting, hence why you never hold grudges for very long.

You’re a go with the flow type.

When things don’t go as planned, it doesn’t really bother you because you have that “don’t care" attitude. You’re the person who is willing to do whatever with anyone because you enjoy going with the flow and better yet, just having company around you. This could also bite you in the butt and leave you indecisive when it comes to making choices.

You love so easily

You’re a sucker for romance movies and novels. You don’t like getting sappy, but you enjoy being loved and showing love to all. Because of how simple minded you can be, you love everyone and everything. Meeting new people you connect with is such an overwhelming feeling for you. You become infatuated with others and you can’t help it.

You fall so easily

With that being said, the most famous trait of being a Pisces is how emotional you get. The slightest thing that is said to you can really make or break you. You think you can take criticism, but deep down your heart is breaking to pieces… Confrontation is not your strong suit because you know that there’s a possibility you’ll break down.

Let’s face it:

Whenever you find fellow Pisces you automatically feel a connection. Pisces are the greatest companion whether it’s in a relationship or friendship. Pisces love to love, they are intuitive, and great listeners—overall, they’re a genuine bunch and truly unique in their own way.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
