Being a B.F.F as told by 'Friends'

I'll be there for you (when the rain starts to pour), I'll be there for you (like I've never been there before)!

Best friends are so important in life. When you find yours, hold on to him/her and never let them go. They are going to be your other half, some may even say soul sista, or mista! They will be the ones who pick you up when you're down, listen to you rant about people for hours (without getting tired of it), make you laugh endlessly (even in situations where it is completely inappropriate to laugh), but most of all they will be by your side through everything that you go through. I'll say it again for the people in the back, they will be by your side through EVERYTHING that your life deals out! Here are 7 times the 90's classic, 'Friends', has perfectly described what it is to be a B.F.F:

1. They are the only ones who can call you out and bring you back to reality:

Let's be honest, most of us can get out of line. Who am I kidding, we can get totally out of control! Thank goodness for best friends who aren't afraid to step in and knock some sense into us!

2. They can complete your thoughts:

Seriously, how many times have you been in the middle of a sentence and just completely blanked, that's what B.F.F.s are for! They know your every thought, sometimes even when you don't know it!

3. They are down for whatever and they are going to bring the party with them:

I can't count how many times hanging out with my best friend has consisted of doing literally nothing... but she was pumped, so I was pumped! Some of the best memories are from plans that have no direction. Getcha a friend that is willing to be spontaneous and fun with you!

4. They don't let you feel low alone :

If I feel lousy my best friend gets me ice cream, or tells other people to get me ice cream, she makes sure I get ice cream. The point is, she isn't going to let me suffer alone. She will sit there and eat a tub of Ben and Jerry's with me while I pour my heart out!

5. They are your biggest cheerleader:

Being in college, getting a promotion, and anything in between, I know that when I tell my best friend the good news she will break out in a cheer for me! It could be something as small as, "I didn't eat a whole bag of sour cream and cheddar potato chips today!"

6. They know your quarks, like they are their own:

I can't even begin to explain how accurate this is... My B.F.F knows how I am about food and hugs. She is the first to let new people know all about my quarks, i.e. I am always eating something, and I am not a hugger.

7. They can see right through your lies:

Best friends are the ones who can take one look at you, and know something is wrong. They don't even need to hear your fake "I'm fine". Heck, they can probably read your texts and know you aren't fine.

As stated before, best friends are hard to find, so when they come in to your life, let them know just how much they mean to you! I would just like to thank my B.F.F for all she has done, and continues to do for me. I would truly be lost without her in my life! Thank you Jesus, for giving me the sweet soul that is my friend, I promise I will do my best to not be too weird to lose her.... but I can't guarantee anything ;)!

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.

10 Things Only Equestrians Understand

Yes, it IS a sport. Yes, I fall all the time. No, I do not ride in jeans with a cowgirl hat on.

Growing up I have always wanted to own a horse. My grandparents own a well known equestrian facility in Georgia, so I have been riding since I was born. A bond between a person and their horse is a bond so strong that it cannot be broken. Everywhere I went I wanted to be around horses, even forcing my family to go on trail rides during vacations. Horses have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember has taught me great responsibility, as well as 14 things that all equestrians can relate to.

College is super hard. Between working, studying, and having a social life, it feels like a struggle to just keep afloat.

I understand. When you feel like your drowning and there's no way to stay afloat I understand that it feels like everyone else is doing just fine. I understand all the frustration, long nights in the library, and that feeling that you want to just throw in the towel. I understand that sometimes it's too hard to get out of bed because your brain is already filled with too much information to remember. I understand because I am also feeling pretty burnt out.

No Matter How Challenging School Gets, You Have To Put Your Health First — A Degree Won't Mean Anything If You're Dead

Some of the best advice I've ever received was from my social studies teacher in sophomore year of high school. He stated, "If you don't know it at midnight, you're not going to know it for the 8 a.m. exam, so get some sleep."

It's such a simple piece of advice, but it holds so much accuracy and it's something that the majority of college students need to hear and listen to. "All-nighters" are a commonality on college campuses in order to cram in studying for an exam that is typically the next day.
