No one ever claimed this thing known as "LIFE" was easy. And I'm sure as heck glad, no one has said that, because they would be completely LYING!
Life is hard, It's like that roller-coaster you ride at your favorite amusement park, that swings you all over...up, down, side to side, upside down and all around till you just about fly out of your seat...until you come to that abrupt stop. It's like that spontaneous hit of whiplash that keeps you coming back for more. I almost like to compare that to life.
Life's complicated. No one knows how it's suppose to be done. There's no instruction manual, there is no "right" way or "wrong" way to live it, and there is definitely no foreseeing what can happen next. All you can do is sit here try your best and "live the best life" you possibly can.
But if there is one thing for sure almost every human understands about life is that it's too short! In my past 20 (almost 21 years) I have felt the emotions of joy. I have also felt pain. I've been sad, surprised, excited, hurt, confused, stuck, lost and scared among many other feelings, but I have yet let any of them defeat me or boost my ego through the roof. When we experience things in life, it alters our perception. We could completely change our opinion on a matter in an instant. (Check out my article "We The Future of America" to see how our thoughts have changed since the recent shootings around the country)
Not only can we change our minds a lot, but we can learn a lot too! We pick up habits of other's. Why? I have no clue. We have "leaders" and "followers" in the world, but how did these things come about? Who honestly knows? But my point is you have a voice!
And having a voice comes with getting to speak your mind. Although this has come a long way with gender roles and standards, you can be a free bird, and say how you feel and wish with "limited" limitations. Personally for me I realized why "Why Standards Are Still Important" and how its okay to know what you want and wait for it!
Yes life can be confusing, scary, and full of all sorts of unknowns the most valuable lesson I have learned from life thus far is there is nothing wrong with being yourself. Do not ever ever let someone feel like you are less of a person. They have no right to! This is YOUR life and You can control how people come in and out of it.
So don't be left saying "should have, could have, would have" and go out and experience life. Live it up, do something crazy and spontaneous, you only live once right?
