What is the meaning of life?
What is Life?
What is Love?

One Body.

One Mind.

One Soul.

One Tribe.

One Earth.

Working together.
For a common goal.

Ran by a brain that is one of the most amazing creations.
Ran by fat and water.
With the power to heal and yield the nations.

We are super beings.
We were created in the likeness of the gods.
To see if we will pass the test.

The Sun our source of light when day
Each moon and star cradles our slumber at night.

Our Earth is a beautiful place.
Each one different from the rest.
Laced with Mother Nature"s glory.
With plants and creatures all around.

We are neighbors to those around us.
We must lend a helping hand.
We should love them as much as we love ourselves.
"Do unto others as you should have them do unto you."

Instead we build walls, and rage wars for power.
Religion, politics, and racism are there to pursue it.
To spark the fuel and fire.

We lie, cheat, steal, kill and pillage.
Just to mask our pain.

In the times of triumph we shall raise
In the times of loss we shall fall.

But somewhere along the line
We forget the diseased, sick, poor, and broken.
We walk on them like specks of dust and dirt
As if they did not exist,
While consuming all their tokens.

One day we will wake up and realize
That we are all the same.
Let go of all your hurt and shame.

Reaching to climb the peaks
While crawling through the valleys.
Each tomorrow something new.

They fill us with garbage, drugs, and fluids.
Propaganda floods our news.
We gather round as if it is the main attraction.
Each day we live with these big distractions.

We live each day like robots.
Following our routines and systems.

One day our judgement will come.
That day no one will know.
Pending our destiny or our doom.

We know all of our strengths
We fought through all our weaknesses.
Nobody knows you better than yourself.

The signs have always been there
We are just too blind to see.
One day our veil will be lifted
And there our groom will be.

History always repeats itself.
But why not long for change?
It is time we make a difference

We must not compromise.
We must not live a life on our knees.
They think that we are nothing.
One day we shall see.

Stand up.
Lift your voice.
Shine your Light.

In the Light there we will find peace.
And cast out all the Darkness.
That is where we will find Paradise.
That is flowing with happiness and ease.

Our deepest fears are inadequate.
Our nightmares no longer more.
Our dreams become reality.

Our search for all the answers
Are deep within our minds.
Are deep within our hearts.
The power is in our hands.

The spirit lives in us.
We hear God's whisper.
Calling out our names.

It is all for one.
And one for all.

We all ask the questions
And seek for the answers.
Of course it is always simple.

What is the meaning of life?
What is Life?
What is Love?

Life is Love.
Love is Life.
Love for All.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
