I have been holding my tongue since the last incident we had with the police, but after the incident in Dallas, it is time for me to speak up. The gift of life and humanity is such a precious and beautiful gift that needs to be protected.
The red, white and blue stands for freedom, and we are starting to abuse that freedom more and more. God created us so that we all bleed the same; therefore, we are all equal. I know there are people that do not believe there is a God, but I do and He did not die on the cross for a certain group of people — meaning race, color, etc.
A friend of mine on Facebook wrote:
“In both cases we should be seeking out justice against the perpetrators of these crimes, but we need to do so with an objective mindset. In response to the events that have taken place, suddenly accusations and defenses are sprouting like mad, some well placed and others which baffle me by their very existence, breeding more hatred.
As a result, this idea that people have to choose a side is deriving, and we are left with a people even further divided in time where we are all too ready to persecute one another. We are in a world that could very easily be on the verge of collapse on not just national but global levels; there are issues now that threaten the future of humanity and yet we are unable to come together on these issues of justice without hell breaking loose.”
Sorry for the long quote, but well said!
Will humanity be the first species to bring its own demolition? We all have our different views, but we need to work together to be able to move forward.
In a famous quote, Martin Luther King Jr. said, “Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.”
Love is the only thing can that drive out hate, and I hope one day people will finally comprehend that. And responding to hate by using more hate makes the situation much worse than you left it.
Hate never solves any situation. The bible says love your enemy. The major key out of all of this is that, “All cops aren’t bad; all blacks aren’t thugs; all Hispanics aren’t illegal; all Muslims aren’t terrorists, and all whites aren’t racist.” This quote is straight to the point. This quote is what people need to understand.
They use stereotypes too often. It seems that we are diverting back to a time where one race thinks they are superior to others.
There is fear among us with the rising acts of terrorism. Terrorism is becoming more prevalent therefore causing people to assume the worst. It is becoming more and more difficult to find trust in people and without that trust people are losing hope. This is where our leaders of our country need to step up to instill hope back into our country.
