Christmas break is almost here and as excited as I am to be going home, there are still a few things and people in particular that I am going to miss and here is why.

1. The late night talks.

I’m going to miss staying awake until the early hours of the morning having random talks with some of my closest friends.

2. The food runs.

Food and friends are what get you through school. The food runs to get ice cream or half price appetizers or pie are going to be missed.

3. The little run-ins on campus.

Seeing that one familiar face every so often is like a nice little reminder that everything will be okay.

4. The little adventures.

Every so often you end up doing something you never imagined with the people closest to you and those are the nights I’m really going to miss.

5. The good times.

These are the nights that I’m never going to forget and that I never want to. I know that in a month we will be back making new memories and getting ourselves into new situations and I can’t wait for that.

One month seems like a lifetime when it’s spent apart from great people.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.
