What If The Cubs Win The World Series?

Growing up in a "Chicago Cubs Only" household—I know the anger and frustration that comes with being a fan. Every year baseball season starts, and every year the Cubs give their fans some hope that they will be decent enough to make it to playoffs or win a game, depending on the year. Then tragedy strikes or the curse, and the Cubs are not spoken about, let alone watched in my house. Every year we seem to fall into the same routine of having a love/hate relationship with this baseball team. We would love them if they were good, but we hate them when they are bad (*sigh*).

Now, I know from experience, aka family and friends who are loyal Sox fans, that all the Chicago White Sox fans are in denial that the Chicago Cubs have potential to actually win the World Series this year. White Sox fan: "The Cubs? Good? Ha-ha. They haven't won the World Series since 1908!" Oh, jealous White Sox fans. It is easy to cheer and support your team when they are good. Trust us, Cubs fans, we know.

As of right now, the Cubs playoff odds are strong. They are finally good and we are finally happy. Our hope is sky high, and we currently love the team that has been showing up on Wrigley Field to play.

So what if the Chicago Cubs win the World Series?

The curse will be broken. Bye, Billy Goat curse! "Them Cubs, they ain't gonna win no more," said Billy Sianis in 1945. The Cubs will continue to win and we can all happily eat at Billy Goat Tavern again.

Hey, who is really counting anyway?

Shut the Chicago White Sox fans up once and for all. After many years of being tormented by Sox fans, it is our turn to dish it out! Chicago Cubs fan: "The Chicago White Sox? Good? HA-HA. They haven't won the World Series since 2005!" In your face, Sox fans.

Another parade. We Chicagoans love parades! The Blackhawks think they brought a copious amount of fans to the city? Wait until the Cubs parade. The city will be flooded with Cubs fans who have waited their entire lives for the Cubs to win the World Series.

The city will be lit up honoring the Chicago Cubs. We love our city's bright lights, especially when they are supporting our favorite sports team.

Lastly, and most importantly, happy fans. Cubs fans have been waiting for this moment for a very long time. I know the celebration would last a lifetime, and none of us would ever forget the moment the Cubs won the World Series.

Cubs fans, are we getting ahead of ourselves? Are the Chicago Cubs good, or are we going to have another disappointing year? I sure as hell hope they can pull it off this year.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
