Thanksgiving is such a wonderful time and I would like to tell you about my favorite things involving Thanksgiving!

Spending time with Family is by far my favorite thing about Thanksgiving, as a college student who is very close to my family, I cherish the moments I get to spend time with them. Around the holidays you get to see your family members that you do not get to see as often whether that is due to distance or whatever. You get to catch them up about your life and what is going on with you

With spending time with your family comes along with being surrounded by love. My family whenever we are together you can feel the love all around us, however, with that being said we are just like every other family and we have our fair share of family drama. Something about the holidays tends to bring out family drama.

FOOD!!!! For this one should I even say more, between eating turkey, stuffing, mac and cheese, and whatever else, thanksgiving food is always one of my favorite things about Thanksgiving. I love the feeling of going into a self-induced food coma after you physically cannot eat anymore. The nap after Thanksgiving dinner always seems to be the best nap of the year, I mean come on how could you not nap the best after a full stomach.

Thanksgiving is always a time to really remember what all you are thankful for. I like this because sometimes with day to day life the things you are thankful for falls to the back of your mind and you do not really think about it. However, with Thanksgiving you get a chance to celebrate everything you are thankful for and even if it's for one day of the year you give thanks.

I just really wanted to give thanksgiving food another shout out because it is just so delicious.

I really love shopping on Black Friday, I like most people completely get the irony of spending a whole day giving thanks just to turn around the next day and spend so much money on materialistic things. For me personally, I do not agree with going on Thursday during the day, but I love to shop around 12 in the morning throughout the day on Friday.

I thought senioritis in high school was rough until I became a college senior about to go into the real world. I'm supposed to have everything figured out, right? I mean I went through four years of tough classes and serious self-searching (and crying). What I found overall was Senioritis sneaking up on me.

It takes a little while to get used to not seeing your high school best friends every day. Going away to college causes a lot of changes, but one thing that will never change is my love for my high school BFFs, and the texts that I get from them. Here are just 8 of the texts I get from them on the weekly:

College is filled with many things, and we're so often lectured to make the right decisions as we head out on our own into the college life. But sometimes it's necessary to indulge in some guilty pleasures as well as just doing things because you can. And honestly, a lot of the time it's inevitable. College is no piece of cake that's for sure, so it's okay to do some things you deep down know you shouldn't....once in a while anyways.
