Minor spoilers ahead, there are.

The end of an era, the final installation of the new Star Wars trilogy, The Rise Of Skywalker wraps of the franchise and we sure do have a lot to unpack here folks.

Let's start with the pros:

The first thing to note is that this movie is under different direction than 8th one. This makes a huuuge difference in how high or low my expectations were going to be. The entire vibe the movie gave off was so much different than The Last Jedi. It didn't have that cringe comedy factor and mainly focused on the action. Like all Star Wars films, the visuals were just breathtaking and that made the viewing experience very enjoyable.

Aside from that, I liked the plot overall. It actually made sense and didn't feel like a filler movie. Every action the characters made, made sense to the plot. It kept you on your toes with all the plot twists and suspenseful moments. While some aspects might have been easy to predict just given the formula Star Wars movies follow, there were still moments where I didn't know what was going to happen.

I think the ending left the series wrapped up in a nice little bow, and it paid homage to the series as a whole by referring to events and characters in the past that made my nostalgic soul very happy.

Now for the cons:

The things I liked about the movie for sure outweigh the things I didn't like. They're more just minor things that don't affect my overall rating for the movie, but it would be cool if these things were changed.

My biggest qualm was that I felt there was a disconnect in how Luke and Leia act in the new trilogy rather than the original. It feels very rigid and forced. There's not that same passion, and that could be because they're not main characters and the actors got burnt out.

I also wish they had given R2D2 more screen time. C3PO was still quite active and useful as a character, and while I like BB-8, R2 is just the original droid companion to C3PO, and BB-8 and him just don't have that same connection. However, it does make sense that R2 didn't get much screen time because he was loyal to Luke, and had to stay with Leia at the resistance home base. We do get one classic R2 scream though, and I suppose that makes up for it.

I highly recommend seeing this movie, and don't think you'll be disappointed.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
