There are certain things in my life I simply can't live without. My car. My cat. Caffeinated beverages. There are a multitude of objects in a person's everyday life that we use to simplify and better our living. In my apartment, I especially find many things that make my life easier.

1. My computer

I love my computer. I can't find the words to express my love for this machine, and I do words. I can Internet on it, pay my bills, look at funny pictures, and even sometimes do work on it.

2. Fridge

Keeps my stuff cold. Nuff said. I don't want it running away though.

3. Oven

As much as I wish I had mini storm troopers to make my food for me, I can't have life that easy. That being said, I literally need an oven to live. I don't like to microwave my pizza rolls.

4. TV

Besides being my Netflix machine, I don't find much use for it. But I guess, according to this picture, you can have friends and family gather around it to watch with you. Who knew?

5. Litter box

While I have absolutely no idea how the litter box above works or why it was designed like that, with having two cats, I need one of these. I can't handle that much fecal matter without this box. Nooo way.

6. Internet modem

You can't Internet without this box! All those cat pictures gotta come through something, right?

7. Desk

What else am I going to put my pop cans, pizza rolls and sometimes homework on? Certainly not the floor, although it's tempting when I don't want to move from the bean-bag.

8. Microwave

While I do NOT recommend putting your stuffed animal in the microwave, there are certainly things you can put in there. Like food. Not pizza rolls, though. Those go in the oven. Like the oven, I can't live without this life-saving closed-box radiation machine.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

It's not all morning coffees and singing along to the radio.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.
