As many of you know 2017 is upon us which I still can't exactly believe because I feel like 2016 just started. This year I want to grow more in my faith and in myself and I can't wait to see what all the new year has in store for me, and everyone around me. I've started thinking about my New Year's resolutions and compiled a small list to start off, so here they are.

1. I want to grow in my relationship with God.

I think that it is so important to always being growing in your relationship with the Lord, but during 2017 I really want to be connected with the Word and apply it to my daily life.

2. I want to go to the gym more often.

Now I'm not doing this so that I can lose weight and look a certain way, but I want to start going to the gym more often so that I can get in shape and be more healthy.

3. Spend more time with family.

I have realized that family is so important and I want to be able to spend as much time with them as possible!

4. Cross more things off my life bucket list.

Now this is more of a running resolution for me but I still want to be able to cross everything off my life bucket list before I die so that I can see the world and experience so many incredible things.

5. TRAVEL MORE! I want to see everything there is to see.

I'm sure if you've read any of my other posts on here then you probably know how much I love to travel. I want to travel the whole world and see every country and city.

6. Do more of the things that I want to do.

I want to take some time to myself and accomplish the things that I've always want to do, the personal things I want.

7. Spread more love to people everywhere.

More people need to feel love and feel like they're worth it. I want to be kinder to everyone and spread that love to so many more people because everyone deserves to feel loved.

This is just a small list that I've been thinking of but there are definitely more things that I want to accomplish within 2017 and I have a feeling that this is going to be a great year!! I can't wait to see what happens within the lives of everyone during this New Year and what everyone will accomplish.

Being a part of any organization undoubtedly comes with the pitfalls of being grouped into negative stereotypes, and sororities are certainly no exception. Here are the top few things, that I find at least, are some of the most irritating misconceptions that find their way into numerous conversations...

8. "The whole philanthropy thing isn't real, right?"

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.
