5 Things Every Guys Should Know When Dating

He isn't the sweetest damn thing, that’s for sure. Perhaps that is part of his allure. Don't get me wrong, he smiles at me and kisses me sweetly just to be affectionate, but he is not the kind of guy who will blow your phone up, or cover you in sweet nothing messages. No not this guy, not the guy who has my attention. To a certain extent, you could say that I have a type; that bad boy, ultra masculine, pretty faced guy----the mostly "verging on edge of cocky" kind of guy. I have come to learn through conversation with all my female friends, that this "type" of guy is what most women respond to. If you're too nice or paying me too much attention, more than likely, I won't be anxious to get to know you. Maybe that sounds very crude, and I realize that it comes across as me not wanting a guy who is basically good to me. However, there is something so appealing about a confident guy, that I would seem to trade many desired qualities for that one dominant one. So here's a bit of advice on five things he does that turn me on, and keeps me sitting happily by his side

1. He makes decisions and sticks to them.

He makes it clear my feelings are important to him, and he does a great job of paying them due attention; however, if he has decided on what is the more sure choice for us in any particular situation, there is no changing his mind or running him off course. We are steered for his best thought plan and that's it. He's the same way in bed, putting my needs in high demand; however, still to be met without any of my own dictation. He is always in control and that turns me on.

2. He has this look!

It's a sort of confident grin in his eyes mixed with a sly smile and head cocked to the side that screams, “I've got this.” This look does it to me every time, and most days I am convinced he is not only aware, but puts forth a diligent effort to turn me on.

3. He walks with a long stride.

He does not step with any apprehension, and he forges on as though he could clear the masses. His long stride walk is a comforting notion that I am with a strong man.

4. He pays for most meals.

Call me old fashion or even maybe say it's cliché, but there is something so sexy about a man treating you to dinner, breakfast, or even coffee.

5.He shows me he loves me.

He holds my hands at those seemingly intense moments when my feelings for him are thriving. He puts his arm around me when we're waiting in line, as if to say, this is your safe place. Somehow, without him doing much more than reaching for me in public, or cuddling me when I'm cold, I have come to trust that safe place and believe in his love. And perhaps that is the strongest, sexiest quality about him that turns me on;He shows it. He shows me how he feels, which resonates high with a thinker like me.

So, men, pay attention and listen to what it is that every woman has a taste for.

8 Things I Realized After My First Semester In College

Actually, Kylie Jenner, 2018 is the year of realizing things.

The first semester of college is famous for being one of the most difficult transitions of one's young adult life. You're thrown into a completely new area where the majority of the people surrounding you are strangers in an academic environment that's much more challenging then what you've grown accustomed to for the past twelve years. On top of that, you probably share a room with another person (or even multiple people) on the lumpiest "mattress" you've ever slept on.

With this change comes a lot of questions: what do I want to major in? What am I passionate about? Is what I'm passionate about something I'm actually good at? Why does the bathroom smell like cranberry juice and vodka? What is that thing at the bottom of the shower drain?

6 Unrealistic Expectations Society Has For Young Adults

Don't let the thesaurus-inspired vocabularies in our résumés fool you. We're actually just big kids.

Well over four feet tall and 100 pounds in weight, many of us "young adults" of the world still consider ourselves children. Big, working, college-attending, beer-drinking children. We may live on our own, know how to cook noodles, and occasionally use a planner, but don't be fooled; the youthful tendencies that reside within us still make their way into our daily lives. From choosing to stay up until 3:00 a.m. playing video games on a school night to going out in 30 degree weather without a coat, we still make decisions that our parents and grandparents would shake their heads at in disappointment. So why are we expected to know exactly how to be a wise, professional, sensible adult? It's not that we're irresponsible (for the most part, anyway). It's that we are young, inexperienced, and still have the sought-after, enthusiastic mentality that we can do and be whatever we want, which has not yet been tarnished by the reality of the world. These are just a few of the unrealistic expectations that society has for young adults.
