A lot of people share videos on Facebook about kittens and puppies and how badly they want them, but they forget what actually goes in to owning an animal. Almost two months ago my best friend got a kitten, Brady, and I became a kitty auntie, and a lot happens when you get a kitten, good...and bad.
Kittens are hyper. They sleep a lot but when they're awake, prepare yourself. They'll bite, scratch and jump on ANYTHING, including my bunnies cage (she likes him). They love to play, even if it's at 5 a.m. and you have to be up for work in an hour. With all that hyper activity comes hunger, and kittens eat soooo much. My best friend will feed Brady and two minutes later all his food is gone and he's crying for more. Be ready to spend a lot of money on food and treats..and litter (yuck, kitten poop).
Brady gets into EVERYTHING. The Christmas tree, the bags from the groceries, Chegg boxes, your clothes, anything, and he makes sure you know. He chews and runs and tries to get your attention. It took him a good two weeks to use his scratching post instead of my grandfathers chair. But, with all that craziness comes a whole lot of love. Brady is such a love, he kisses, cuddles on your chest and sleeps in your arms. And once you get a look at that precious face, it makes all the torn bags and stressful times worth it. He may be crazy, but he's a lovebug.
