About a year ago I posted on Facebook asking for people to comment telling me what they found in life to be really, truly beautiful. It was a hard time in my life and I needed a smile. These are the answers I received, if you ever need a smile:
- “Creativity”
- “The view from the Prudential Center”
- “Babies laughing”
- “Seeing the Grand Canyon in person”
- “New York City”
- “Smiles. Genuine smiles.”
- “Kittens”
- “Definitely music”
- “The whole wide plain of beauty after hiking a mountain in Costa Rica.”
- “Happy Tears”
- “Humanity”
- “I second that… Kittens.”
- “If my girlfriend asks, tell her I said her name, but honestly, it’s desolate, snowy mountains.”
- “Really passionate teachers”
- “Buying a coffee for the person in a rush behind you.”
- “Moonlight on the lake”
- “Young love”
- “Outer Space”
- “Selflessness”
- “Derek Hough”
- “Sesame chicken and dumplings”
- “When you come home after a long, hard day and find a whole 26 honey-crisp apples awaiting your arrival on the dining room table.”
- “The Scottish countryside”
- “The sunset from the top of the freedom tower”
- “My family”
Sometimes life can slap you in the face and leave you dazed and frustrated. In times of struggle, grief, and stress remember to see the beauty in every day and you will know peace.
