Gossip girl here! Your one and only source into the scandalous lives of college students elite - as you all know Thanksgiving is just over the horizon, so buckle up and get ready to see what your break has in store for you. You know you love me. XoXo. Gossip Girl.

No one in the world is more excited for Thanksgiving than a college student, other than maybe, of course, grandparents. The break is a much-needed stress reliever before finals but as the holiday quickly approaches, and as we college students rub our hands together in wait of an actual home cooked meal, we tend to forgot some awkward moments during the family thanksgiving dinner we may encounter. Here are some thoughts your most likely going to think during thanksgiving break and most importantly, who doesn't love a good Gossip Girl flashback?

When you first get back:

1. As it starts, you arrive home from college and your excitement to see your family, friends, and pets kick in.

Who knew hugs could last so long?

2. Never wanting to leave the comfort of your own bed again.

It's too bad we don't have our own Dorota.

3. When you finally get to talk to your mom in person and tell her everything.

Mom, school is stressful. Please let me stay home forever. Thank you.

4. If you have a job to go home to during break, chances are you probably don't want to go back.

This is probably how you feel when dealing with the most annoying customer ever, but do not pull a Nate Archibald, it won't lead you anywhere.

Thanksgiving day:

5. Waking up is much easier today because of the excitement.

You can just smell the food that's already being prepared and automatically get up.

6. Getting dressed plays a pretty important role for Thanksgiving dinner.

Plus, you need to look good to get your thanksgiving selfie a lot of likes on Instagram!

7. Once your family arrives.

Not only do the hugs last long this time, but depending on how big your family is the greeting part of the evening could take ages.

8. When you eye down the food and your family makes jokes on how you must be starved at college.

Is it really that obvious how hungry you are? Probably!

9. That friendly, or maybe not so friendly banter between your family.

It's hard not to eat your mashed potatoes and tune in when things start to get heated.

10. When your parents ask what you want on your plate.

I'll have a little of everything, and don't worry I will be going back for seconds!

11. Once you're stuffed, this is how you'll look:

You're not really done eating until you end up on your couch feeling like you can no longer move. It's tradition.

12. Once you've had your home cooked meal and enough time with your family.

13. Just kidding, you'll probably be sad.

It's back to sucky food and lots of homework, not to mention its almost time for finals.

Well, I guess that's it for now, see you after break. XoXo. Gossip Girl.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
