What Happens In The Group Chat, Stays In The Group Chat

If you and your closest friends don't have a group chat that you're constantly texting in, are you even really friends?

The group chat is a sacred place for a group of friends. It's the place where you can say whatever you want, whenever you want, about whoever you want without fear of anyone outside the group chat ever finding out.

What happens in the group chat, stays in the group chat.

Group chats are normally between you and your group of best friends, so you already know that you can trust them with your life. These are the friends that know your darkest secrets, have seen you at your worst, but somehow still love you unconditionally. They're your go to friends when it comes to ranting about every little problem, confessing the stupid mistakes you've made, or sharing the exciting thing that just happened to you. Without even thinking twice, they are always the first ones you go to for advice, where you send the screenshots of the conversation you're having that you just don't know how to reply, and they will be the first people to be completely honest to you no matter the circumstance.

Your group chat will always understand. They just get you, ya know?

Seeing your phone light up with a text from the group always puts you in a good mood. You never know what kind of ridiculous things you'll be talking about next. Whether it's the awkward moment that just happened, the drama at work, when one of you just really needs someone to come over with a bottle of wine (or three) and have a night in, or even the dreaded moment when you are awkwardly alone somewhere and need to pretend that you're doing something so the people around don't notice how awkward you are, this is your go-to group for just about anything.

The special thing about the group chat is the fact that no matter where you are, your core group of friends are just a text away. A lot of the times friend groups move away from home and go to college hundreds of miles away. But fear not best friends, the group chat is here to save the day! No matter how far away you are, with the group chat you are with your best friends at any moment. The thing I love most about my group chat is that even four different cities and two different states can't separate us.

Even going a couple hours with out the group chat seems strange. You never realize how much you talk to a group of people until for some reason it's 5pm and you start questioning if your phone is broken because it's not like the group to go more than 30 minutes with out talking.

If the group chat ever ended you aren't really sure how you would survive! These friends have become a part of your daily routine, despite the distance. These are the people that actually have you smiling and laughing at your phone like an idiot.

Other than going over your data plan every month, you love everything about your group chat.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
