1. We do NOT want the whole flowers, chocolates, and dinner ordeal.
We don't want the whole stereotypical day. Most likely, we've had ENOUGH of those with guys that just broke our hearts, so the story got old quickly. Maybe shoot for a more original plan?

2. Maybe just don't take us out in public. Period.
If there's anything we hate more than Valentine's day, it's watching other people celebrate it. It's kind of disgusting to us when we see girls with arms full of flowers and teddy bears from guys who got the same gifts for three other girls. Overrated.

3. We like low-key things.Don't get me wrong. we still can appreciate romance, but we like it a lot more low-key. Cooking a dinner at home, camping out in the living oom, or even just a movie night will suffice.

4. Sappy cards are acceptable.
While the entire holiday was Hallmark's way of generating revenue, we can still appreciate a good, old-fashioned, sappy card. It's like a modern-day love letter, right?

5. Basically, it's not that we actually hate the holiday, but we just think it's overrated. It's not our thing to be around hundreds of other couples sucking face. While we can appreciate noble romantic gesture, we are also easily pleased. To us, Valentine's Day is every day because we feel that we don't need to reserve our love for one day of the year.
