What Girls Want From Guys

Guys listen up, not every girl is the same and wants to be treated the same. But you will never know because as a girl, we will never flat out tell you what we want. Its your job to figure it out, but here is a list of what we really want:

1. We want the perfect guy, but in reality there is no perfect guy for us.

2. We want the guy who can hold a conversation and never get bored of us.

3. We want a guy who isn’t afraid to share his feelings.

4. We want a guy who can give us a yes or no answer without beating around the bush.

5. We want a guy who somedays has to deal with the moodiness of us when it’s the time of the month.

6. We want a guy who doesn’t have to spend a lot on us to make us happy.

7. We want a guy who can stand behind us and support us through everything we do.

8. We want a guy who isn’t afraid to show us affection. We love it when you guys wrap your arm around us, or pull us in for a kiss in public.

9. We want a guy who will do crazy things with us just to say we did them together and create memories.

10. We want a guy who would be okay with giving us his sweatshirt and not get it back until about month later.

11. (Most of all) we want a guy who will love us unconditionally, through all the flaws and our weaknesses. We want the guy that will continue to fight for us and make us feel like we are worth something.

So guys take this list and don’t forget it, your going to want it. Blow that girl away with what you know and I promise you she will be yours forever.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
