Happy Galentine's Day!

What should you do when everyone else is in love?

Happy Galentine's Day!

That time of the year always comes around: when candy is extremely cheap the day after a little kid in a diaper finishes poking us all in the butts. Yes, many call this excessive love fest Valentine's Day.

However, for us Single Pringles, there is no day more important than Galentines Day.

Usually, it is spent as a day to watch Rom-Coms and ignore those appreciation posts on Facebook and Insta. When drinking coffee mugs of white wine, we reminisce about the ghosts of bfs past and trash the cheaters that came before him.

But not this year! Instead of watching He's Just Not That Into You with a large pizza, try these activities with your favorite Galentine's Day pals first!

1. Hit the beach with friends!

According to Healthline: "Exposure to sunlight is thought to increase the brain’s release of a hormone called serotonin. This is associated with boosting mood and helping a person feel calm and focused." Think about it this way, before diving face first into a pint of Ben and Jerry's, try diving into the pool instead!

2. Craft!

I know it sounds cheesy, but paint nights or succulent parties are on the rise! Spend time with friends painting (and drinking) learning from a real art teacher! Or all of you pitching in on supplies and crafting a cute little hanging plant! There's so much to do to keep busy!

3. Brunch!

What girl doesn't like grabbing a mimosa and a crepe? There's nothing wrong with having a classy ladies day at a local, Pinterest worthy cafe. Of course, most brunches are filled with hangover stories, but this one could be about embracing your gals rather than the cutie in the apartment downstairs.

Granted these ideas are not one size fits all, and I'm pretty sure all Galentine's Days end with a bottle of wine and a movie at Jessica's house (like usual). Who messes with tradition anyway?

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
