Especially if you live up north, it has been a brutal winter. And, I don't know about you, but I for sure am ready for spring to come. I'm ready for the sun to shine and the air to warm, the trees to start budding and the flowers to poke out of the ground.

To help get you in the spring spirit (and maybe encourage Mother Nature to follow suit), read to find out what flower you are based on your personality:

1. Orchid.

If you are an orchid you aspire for a life of luxury. Even if you can't afford it, you are constantly buying the latest in the fashion and beauty world. You won't leave the house without your hair and lipstick in place.

2. Tulip.

As a Tulip, you are always positive and looking on the bright side. You are also laid back and will do whatever the group wants to do.

3. Calla Lily.

Calla Lilies are strong and independent. They are minimalistic and always put together.

4. Hydrangea.

If you are a Hydrangea, you are a team player. You hope to make other people's lives better with your presence and you are always thinking about what is the best for your friends.

5. Rose.

Roses are sophisticated, but watch out because they're also prickly. They will fill you in on the latest gossip and they ~always~ have an iced coffee in hand.

6. Peony.

As a Peony, you are just a sweet innocent little flower. You make friends with everyone, and you always try all the new Starbucks drinks.

7. Iris.

Irises are the creative ones. They hope to inspire others and create new things. They handmake all their friends' birthday gifts and they are constantly changing their hair cut and color.

8. Sunflower.

If you are a Sunflower, you are always the happiest friend in the group. Your friends look to you when they've had a bad day because they know you will cheer them up. You love to try new adventures.

9. Cactus.

Cactuses have a good group of friends but they are often on their own. They usually forget to respond to texts, but even if you don't talk to them for a week, they are still always there for you when you need them.

10. Venus Flytrap.

As a Venus Flytrap, you just want to eat everything. You are completely motivated by food and don't love anything more than food. Often you will go to a party just for the food.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
