What Your Favorite Parks and Rec Character Says About You

Having the flu this past week was actually a blessing in disguise for me... I discovered and binged watched the living crap out of Parks and Recreation! If you are anything like me, you'll think the show's character development and representation is nothing short of genius.

No matter your personality type or interests, you have the capability to enjoy the wit and humor of Parks and Rec, because everyone is represented in some way through the characters. Each character is unique and anyone watching the show can relate to at least one of them.

You may not realize it, but your favorite Pawnee character may just mimic who you are in real life. So, what does your favorite character say about you?

Leslie Knope: You're a Go-Getter
You won't stop at anything short of perfect. No matter how small the task may seem, you still take it on with full force. You have high ambitions and will be the one trusted the most to put on a killer Harvest Festival.

Ron Swanson: You're a True Patriot
Peace, quiet, and America is all you need. No one can take away your 2nd Amendment rights. You are a patriot beyond just America though, regardless of your "leave me alone" attitude, you will still do everything you can to make sure that those that work hard get their recognition.

Tom Haverford: You Have an Entrepreneurial Mindset
You know what the hottest nightclub looks like, and you think you may be the next Donald Trump. No matter how ridiculous your ideas are, you still come through as someone innovative and loved. Even if you are 5'6.

Ann Perkins: You Know How to Keep Your Composure
Not in a relationship while everyone else is? Yeah, you're fine.
Everyone annoying the living crap out of you and nothing you can do about it? No worries.
You know how to remain positive and maintain a smile on your face, no matter what life throws at you.

Ben Wyatt: You're the Quiet Guy With A Lot
So you've had some failures in the past (like bankrupted an entire town), but you are a smart and driven individual who is nothing but loyal. You can be counted on to do everything right, and you will be everyone's supporter along the way.

Andy Dwyer: You Don't Take Life Too Seriously
You don't really know what taxes are or how insurance works, but you've got a kick a$$ band and a three-legged dog, so that makes you the coolest dude in Pawnee/your college town, right? You're the one that makes everyone laugh and feel a little less stressed out with their everyday problems.

April Ludgate: You're Definitely an Individual
So, you hate people. But that's okay because you become whoever you want to be, and you do not care what anyone has to say because you play by your own rules. What can you say? You're loved for your carelessness.

Donna Meagle: Your Confidence is Through the Roof
You know you're on top. Your Mercedes is your baby, and your sass is inevitable. Everyone comes to you for advice because you will always tell it like it is.

Jerry Gergich: You Know How to Take a Punch
You're the one in your friend group that is always made fun of and blamed. But yet you still hang around because you're selfless, and the entire group knows things would not be the same without you. You're told to "shut up" more often than not, but you're okay with that.

Chris Traeger: You Have Your Life Together
You're the type that would call someone by their first and last name when addressing them. There is literally nothing wrong with your life which may bother some people... but you wouldn't know because you see everything and everyone with full positivity.

So, if you're reading this as an avid Parks and Rec fan, then I hope you discovered what Pawneean character you represent in your friend group.
If you're reading this and don't know the slightest thing about any of these characters, log onto Netflix immediately and find a comfortable spot on your couch, because there is no turning back.

The first two weeks of classes have come to an end and they have been anything BUT easy. It seems like life has been serving up more bad than good and in all honesty, the only thing you want to do is crawl under your covers and hide from the rest of the world.

Although this seems like the best solution, it is also the easy way out. Take it from the girl who took basically a whole week off from her life because she just could not handle everything that was being thrown at her. This caused her to feel extremely lonely and even more stressed out for being behind in classes that JUST began.

11 Things We Learned From Brooke Davis

"What's more important? What we become or how we become it?"

Brooke Davis

"She was fiercely independent, Brooke Davis. Brilliant, and beautiful, and brave. In two years she had grown more than anyone I had ever known. Brooke Davis is going to change the world someday, and I'm not sure she even knows it." - Lucas Scott, An Unkindness of Ravens

Brooke Davis of the hit show One Tree Hill was the it girl - she had it all, or so we thought. She started out as a stuck-up, shallow, spoiled, head cheerleader who didn't have her life together. She slept around a lot and loved to party - sounds like your typical high school teenager right? Wrong. B. Davis had so much more to offer. Caring, loyal, and outspoken, she has taught us some valuable lessons throughout the 9 seasons that OTH was on the air:

We all have a person, and when that person makes some new friends, we tend to forget all the great things that can come out of it. Never forget how special they are to you and why you are best friends.
