Well you have finished those agonizing finals, cleared out your dorm room and it looks the same from when you first entered it two semesters ago, saying good bye to all your friends, and you're finally home now sitting on your couch as your parents are still going to work and your younger siblings are still going to school. As the world appears to still be turning and everybody still has responsibilities you wonder what can you do to make your summer more productive.

While most college kids are working or still working to earn money for their degree. Now I have that catchy commercial stuck in my head from www.educationconnection.com. On the days you're not working I'll give some ideas you could do for a filled summer.

You can finish watching your shows via Netflix. We all know there is at least one season you quite haven't finished or started yet. Or now is the time to start watching either a new show or an old show that everyone keeps talking about that you should check out to see what all the fuss is.

You can go outside to a near by park or water. Even if you live in a city you could go outside and take in the scenery.

Read a book now that you don't have to read a book that cost thousands of dollars and use for only one chapter. The book can be for a movie coming out or a movie that is already out in theaters. You can go to your local library and even if they don't have it ask them to search it up in nearby libraries or ask if they can send it to your library.

Take a credit course either for an elective or for your major. It's good to keep yourself well educated. Most community colleges have summer programs that are not as costly.

Pick up more money by baby sitting, dog sitting, or house sitting. It's out of pocket and you could rack up for school or self.

Make sure to keep in contact with old and new friends. Make time to socialize outside of social media. Don't let the summer escape from you because before you know it, August is right around the corner!

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
