7 Phone Styles That Dictate Your Personality

Phones. They are our messengers, lifelines, and perhaps even best friends. We live in an age where our phones seldom leave our hands, and they have transformed into a major part of our everyday aesthetic. That being said, how we wear our phones can speak volumes about who we are and how others perceive us. Our phones serve as physical symbols of our very digital lives, so I decided to investigate each way people tend to sport their devices and what this conveys to the general population. Here are my findings:

1. Screen Protector

Screen protectors indicate calculated danger. If your phone has on one of these, you want to walk on the wild side armed with comfortable sneakers and a first aid kit. The cracks on your protector are the battle scars in which you pride yourself and your reasonable unruliness.

2. Otterbox

You do not care what people think of you in the slightest degree. Yes, you’re donning an unbelievably chunky phone case, but you’ll be the one laughing when your slick, no-case friends shatter their screens in one slip. You fully embrace who you are, whether people like you (and your bulk of a phone) or not.

3. LifeProof Case

LifeProof-ers do not mess around. A step up from the Otterbox-ers, they are ready for literally anything that may come their way. No act of God could shatter their phone or their will, and they face problems head-on and with unwavering determination. They also must possess outstanding patience if they’re willing to remove and reassemble their case (from experience, an arduous practice) any time they want to use an aux cord.

4. Multi-Use case

If your phone case doubles as a wallet or cardholder, you have places to be and things to see. You don’t stay in one place for long, and your busy life translates into a need to minimalize baggage and maximize your time.

5. Stickers

You are a playful guy or gal if stickers are your go-to phone accessories. Be it a Vineyard Vines whale or a political teaser, you want to show others what you stand for every time you use your device.

6. Fashion Case

Shout-out to all my basic fashionistas! Fashion case wearers tend to be the average basic girls like myself. We love sporting our favorite patterns daily, and we are always on the hunt for cute new ways to live our lives and use our phones. Despite how clumsy we can be and how often we may be gradually chipping away at our screens, we will always remain loyal to our style above comfort and stability.

7. No Case

Only thrill seekers allowed here. If you do not use any case, you are both an adrenaline junky and a sleek boss. You give off some major Bond vibes, and you want everyone to know it. True no phone case proponents could shatter their phones a thousand times and still revert back to that shiny, new phone glow, conveying just how badass they really are (or want to be).

There you have it! While no one phone user is truly alike, these categories seem to summarize the general vibes conveyed bythose devices we love so dearly. So maybe you’ll think twice the next time you whip out your digital pal!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
