What Does Your Frozen Yogurt Say About You?

It’s really amazing how many results you will get if you Google “funny frozen yogurt quotes”. And yes, I genuinely pondered the idea of starting this article with a “Life is short, eat Fro-Yo first” or a “You can’t buy love but you can buy Fro-Yo”. But, by some sort of higher power destined to: “save Amanda from this treacherous mistake”, none of the results on Brainy Quotes provided me with an LOL frozen yogurt line. So you will just have to forgive me for my lack of an interest catching beginning.

For those of you “Fro-Yo” lovers out there, this article is for you.

Creating the perfect frozen yogurt cup is truly a personalized work of art. I once made the rookie mistake of letting my dad make my frozen yogurt cup with no instructions other than, “anything that looks good”. I assumed it would be something along the lines of vanilla mixed with Cookies N Cream, some rainbow sprinkles, maybe a few chocolate chips. Well, he made an exact replica of what he got himself: Pistachio and lemon twist, all topped off with sliced almonds and mango pieces. Enough said.

You will find below various questions that relate to the steps of creating a frozen-yogurt cup. Answer each question to decode the underlying message behind your “Fro-Yo” preferences.

Question One: Which cup do you use?

First cup: “Why get fro-yo if I’m not going to go all out?”

You prefer to do things all out, and the concept of “low-key” is not quite in your vocabulary. You are that type of person who can turn any average night with your friends into some sort of spontaneous adventure. When all of your friends are being lame in the group chat, and claim they are “too tired” to go out, you make it your mission to get the whole squad motivated. Who cares if it’s a Monday night?

Second cup: The little and simple things in life make you happy. Just as you would rather have a small amount of frozen yogurt to quell your sweet tooth, you tend to like things in limited quantities. When it comes to friends, you prefer the company of a small crowd to an overwhelming big gathering.

Question Two: Do you taste flavors before or no?

Yes! Even though you probably already know what every frozen yogurt tastes like, you nevertheless like to verify before you commit to a flavor. You thrive on structure, and although your friends might tease you for being the “planner”, they too benefit from your constant organization. When you go out for dinner, you will usually pretend to browse the menu, but we both know that you already did your research and looked at it online. You have no problem trying something new, like that pumpkin frozen yogurt flavor, but you like to know what to expect beforehand.

No! Those small sampling cups are just not your thing. Why taste a new flavor when you are perfectly content with a vanilla-chocolate twist? Also, you probably feel bad/awkward making the person working at the frozen yogurt place walk around to do the sampling cup for you (Frozen yogurt places with DIY sampling cups, you are greatly appreciated). You tend to have a favorite dish at restaurants you frequently attend, and 99% of the time you stick to ordering that item. There is nothing wrong with a routine, and you are a firm believer that what you are familiar with makes you happy.

Question Three: Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry, or Tart?

You’re vanilla: simple, classic, and sweet. Vanilla is a flavor that can be paired with anything and compliments all different flavors. That exactly resembles your personality. You tend to be the glue within your friend group, as you have the ability to bring everyone’s varying personalities together.

You’re chocolate: a flavor that is never unnoticed. You have a bold and confident personality, and the word “boring” would never be used to describe you. The concept of blending in with the crowd is not in your vocabulary, as your presence is a strong one.

If you’re favorite flavor is strawberry then you’re favorite flavor used to be vanilla or chocolate. You are a true frozen yogurt enthusiastic, and you can’t be bothered by the basicness of chocolate or vanilla. Strawberry is a low-key flavor, but no one is ever disappointed by it. That relates to you perfectly. You are not usually the center of attention, but your presence is keenly noticed.

If your go-to flavor is tart, then you’re perception of frozen yogurt is different from most. For you, frozen yogurt is supposed to be something nutritious, and you therefore go for the option that is healthiest. Odds are you love Soul Cycle, Cross Fit, and acai bowls.

Question Four: When it comes to sprinkles are you a rainbow or chocolate fan?

Rainbow sprinkles- You probably own some variation of an Adidas sneaker (sorry I had to). You are fun, energetic, and cheerful and always bring a splash of color to everything you do. You can make the most out of any situation, and tend to look for the positives. No frozen yogurt cup is complete without a dash of rainbow sprinkles, and you are that added addition to your family and friends. Not to mention, you love celebrating birthdays and cannot wait until yours rolls around again.

If you are a chocolate sprinkle fan you are truly unique. Although some people may not understand the difference between rainbow and chocolate sprinkles, to you, they are completely separate toppings in entirety. You’re edgy and adventurous and that reflects most in your style. Also, you have a very sarcastic sense of humor and tend to laugh at your own jokes.

Question Five: Fruit or no fruit?

Yes! You don’t like to crowd your frozen yogurt with only sugary toppings. You like a balance between the “good but not good for you” toppings and fruit, so that you can get the best of both worlds. With this being said, you strive to find balance in your own life.

No! Putting fruit on frozen yogurt, AS IF! Why waste your time with fruit as a topping when you have cookie dough, brownie bites, and Oreos? You are the life of party and would never let anything ruin your fun. If you are out with your friends, then you are fully committed to having an epic night. No distractions (like fruit) would even come close to ruining your good time.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.

Growing up I have always wanted to own a horse. My grandparents own a well known equestrian facility in Georgia, so I have been riding since I was born. A bond between a person and their horse is a bond so strong that it cannot be broken. Everywhere I went I wanted to be around horses, even forcing my family to go on trail rides during vacations.
