While most of us blindly use pesticides in our homes, yes even bug spray is a pesticide, do we ever read the label? Do we know what the label means?
here are a few tips on how to understand the label of any pesticide you may use in your home, garden, lawn (the same applies for farmers using it in fields).
1) Look at the signal word. On every label, there is a signal word these are: Danger, Warning, and Caution. these words will tell you the measure of toxicity.
2) Directions for use.
3) Directions for storage and disposal (not stuff it under the bathroom/kitchen sink).
4) Statement of practical treatment- this is basically first aid response.
These are the most important to read and understand before using any chemical.
