What does it mean to be genius? Are they few and far between or an everyday occurrence? Is one born genius or can talent be developed to a certain extent? The mark of a genius is someone with exceptional intellectual or creative power or other natural ability. Throughout history there have been several individuals who stand above the rest. Isaac Newton, Thomas Edison, Albert Einstein and Ludwig Beethoven are a small few of the people society has immortalized. The truth however may be surprising, because as these people did excel exceptionally well in their field of interest, there are far more people with genius potential which go unnoticed and untapped.

Is it hard to believe that every person, no matter age or decent, has a form of genius within them? Is it possible that we are all born good at doing something, but the fear of failure, fear of criticism and fear of hard work prevent us from reaching our genius potential? One should ask themselves what all of the above mentioned people had in common besides higher than average IQ’s. Were they really all that much smarter, or were they able to look at the world in such a different way that no one before them was ready for what they had to offer? The mark of a genius is in the way they go about living their life. A genius notices things and understands things that most of us simply can't. It is not that they are made any different than everyone else physically, but from a mental standpoint they do not set limits for their mind and life.

Anyone can be genius, one must just be willing to hold out long enough to find it. We all have something we are really good at, whether it is math, reading, writing, science, philosophy, music, art or sports; it doesn't matter. To become genius one must have an open enough mind to realize that with time and hard work any craft can be developed into excellence.

We must learn to set our goals high and not stop until we get there. We are within this universe just as much as the universe is within us. As we look up to the stars at night and stare deep into the infinite of space, the infinite looks back at us too. How this might be interpreted is the fact that space has no limits, it will go on forever. Once one comes to the realization that we are space itself, then the understanding of limits we set for ourselves disappears. We are no longer bound by our own beliefs as our consciousness expands and understanding of reality becomes that much greater.

To be genius is to have the patience and understanding by not limiting our experience. By opening ourselves up to possibility, taking risks and doing what scares us most, we are allowing ourselves the opportunity to understand our own intellect like never before. We all can change the world, we all have something to offer which no one else can match; what matters is how long we are able to hold out and persevere from the pressures of general society. How strongly we stick to our guns and not let anyone tell us who or what we can be. Never let the world limit you, never stop raising the bar, shooting for the moon and then touching the stars. Keep going, learning, thinking and feeling this life you have been given. Throw your whole heart into living and experiencing, and you will quickly realize that there is so much more to being human than we have been lead to believe.

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…
