On a weekly basis, what are the three top things you found yourself doing? Write them down, and besides that, write the top three things you value most in your life.
Were they the same?
I know mine wasn't and mostly everyone in today's society would have different lists also.
Time is one of the biggest gifts God could have ever possibly given us because it's an always thing. And the way that we use our time reflects what we value the most. Now, think about the things you find yourself worrying and spending time on that didn't exist ten years ago. It's crazy that the strangest things we worry about was not ever a problem before. As Christians, we should not conform to the world but instead, put all of our time into Jesus, mission, family and friends. Becoming seduced by our culture is a growing trend by Christians that most don't see a problem in, but is one that will slowly kill our time spent to be used making disciples and spreading His Word.
Romans 12:2 — Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
In life, you already know what you're going to regret - so don't get to the end and think, "I should've done that better." Know what you want to do with every day so you don't waste precious time given to you. When you know how you want to spend your day, ask yourself why. Why am I doing what I'm doing, and how is this benefiting my faith and others? What is truly the motive behind what I'm doing or going to do this day. When you make lists on paper and can visually see how you are going to spend your day, it makes you more aware and cautious of your Christianity.
People see how you spend your time.
From an outsider looking in, what would one see? My friends and family all know I'm a Christian, so what does that look like in their eyes? Simply saying your faith and posting things to social media doesn't make you a hard-working and devoted Christian. When others can see how you spend your time, maybe they will want to spend their time on Him, also.
Use your time to spread His love for us in ways you would never think of not only this week, but every day for the rest of your life - are you up the for challenge?
