We all know of Frank Sinatra, The Beach Boys and Michael Jackson. But have you ever wondered what musicians are going to be recognized as the classics generations from now? Which artists will be remembered as some of the greatest?
1. Bruno Mars.
Almost comparable to the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, Bruno is a legend. His songs have the rhythm of oldies, and you can always get down to them which is a plus. Millennials, Baby Boomers and everyone in between love him.
2. John Legend.
His voice is like little angel kisses, it’s so smooth. His music has been out for a while and it’s good. I’ve never heard anything quite like it. If you haven’t heard any of his stuff, you better, because I believe that his music will be around for a long time. Rightfully so, because it’s that good.
3. Harry Styles.
While he only recently just came out with his first solo album, I know that he will release so many more memorable singles. His style is unique but also something that a lot of people will love — he has a song for everyone.
4. Missy Elliott.
Missy will go down in the books. While she hasn’t come out with anything recently, she is still perfection, anytime one of her jams comes on the radio it’s a throwback dance session to be remembered.
5. Rihanna.
Rihanna is ALWAYS relevant. She is a fashion icon, a makeup legend, and a musical genius. She knows how to produce a bop, and she knows how to work a crowd. She has eight albums out, and more to come that will be bigger than ever.
You’ll notice that I don’t have certain artists on my list—the big names, like Beyonce, Kayne West, or Taylor Swift. While I think their music is noteworthy, I can’t imagine them going down as one of the classics. Bruno Mars, John Legend, Harry Styles, Missy Elliott, and Rihanna will be some of the artists that will stand the test of time.
