What Could Be Better Than Having A Cat?

Having a cat as a pet is pretty awesome. They are low maintenance, come potty trained, bathe themselves and are great companions. I think it's safe to say that all cat owners start out the same, and find themselves one day putting a little sweater on their cat and wondering whether or not they have gone too far. The evolution into a cat lady is non-gender specific and happens quickly without much warning... and once it starts it is pretty hard to stop. Once you decide to commit and adopt your first cat, you will always have someone to cuddle, chase, and spend time with. But what could be better than having a cat for a pet? I have found the answer.

Two cats.

If you're not already sold on the idea, let me explain.

First, you'll be giving your first cat a friend and prevent them from being lonely. While we're away at work or school, or even out with our human friends, our cats are (most likely) sitting on the windowsill waiting for us to come home. Now, your cat will have someone to watch squirrels with.

You will never ever have to be alone again. When your first cat needs to nap or wants to go do other things, your second cat will accompany you to the bathroom just to make sure you make it safely.

You will never be cold in the Winter months. With just one cat, you would only have one side kept warm. Two cats, on the other hand, would ensure all over toasty comfort.

You will never have rodents or pests in your home. Usually, people adopt cats for their hunting capabilities. One cat will reduce the number of mice in your house, but what if Fluffy isn't particularly good at hunting? With two cats, his friend Muffins can go ahead and help out.

Cats are trained masseuses. With two cats, that means double the amount of paws and double the amount of relaxation! They'll help get rid of your work stress in no time.

You'll always have a welcome party waiting for you when you get home. It's nice to be greeted when you come home after a long day but it'd be weird if your two roommates immediately ran up to you as you entered through the door. With your two cats, it's endearing.

Like I said, having two cats is great. In addition to the love that they give you through their cuddles, you can also feel satisfaction knowing that you are providing two souls with a safe, loving home as well as veterinary care.Taking care of one cat is rewarding in itself, but having two can improve your furry friend's experience by getting extra love and companionship. It's a big decision to take in another cat, but it's one that will change your life as well as your cat's!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
