What Can God Do For You?

There is nothing He can't do.

What Can God Do For You?

I was born and raised in an amazing Christian family. I loved going to church as a child and learning that God has this incredible kingdom where you can play and snuggle with lions and tigers. As a child, it is hard to understand how amazing God is until a deeper relation is pursued. He has parted seas, walked on water and healed the sick. To sum it up in one word, He is simply incredible. He owes us nothing but yet he gives us everything. I can never wrap my head around the fact that God has a blueprint for each and everyone’s life. He is always one step ahead of us and is strategically planning our next move. As God opens so many doors and opportunities, He also closes doors. Sometimes what we see as the “best” option for ourselves is not the plan God had for us. This can be the hardest part of trusting God but can also be the most wonderful part. The tribulations test our patience, love and willingness to be dedicated disciples. Throughout college, one of my favorite verses has become “And all flesh shall see the salvation of God” Luke 3:6. My dream is that every human being gets the opportunity to pursue and love God on a deep level. One day He will come and we all be blinded by his heavenly glow. Chills. My daily goal is to smile to strangers and show love to everyone whether it is opening a door or saying “thank you.” I am a follower of God and a warrior of love and kindness but at the same time, I am a lost sheep at times and stray from my path. I am always herded back and encountered by a forgiving God. Throughout life, it seems we all carry this toxic “I deserve this” mentality. The world is materialistic, and it is easy to fall into the web of wanting the best and the newest. Gods’ love knows no price tag or brands. We were not created to please ourselves and others but rather we were created to serve and honor the One who paid the ultimate price. We are all stars in God's galaxy, but we choose how bright we want to shine. So what exactly can God do for you?

1. God can free you

God harvests no hate, no matter what the sin is, and He can free your heart from any anger or hurt.

2. God can forgive you

A lot of times, people say they could never believe in God because they are bad people. You were created by God. He wants to know you. He has always loved you and always will love you.

3. God can love you

At times, there are moments where nothing seems to go right and failure is a familiar feeling. Let God love you and show you there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

4. God can bless you

Though God closes doors, He always comes back with something bigger and better. It is like asking for a doll for Christmas and getting a puppy instead. Trust in his plan and let him guide your path.

5. God can change your life

This comes with a 100 percent authenticity certificate. The second you accept God into your life is the second you have chosen happiness and love.

My faith is something that guides me as a human every day. I try to love everyone to the fullest, but I will not shy away from the faith that built me. In one of my favorite books “Love Does” by Bob Goff, he tells this incredible story. Bob had bought this amazing painting and the gallery had given him a fake painting to hang so he could protect the real one in a vault. Bob was baffled by this and figured he paid too much money on the real to hang a fake. His children ended up putting a hole in the middle of the painting, and Bob was happy about it. Beauty lies in imperfection, and we all have imperfections. Never try to hide what makes you flawed and human. God has invested so much into our creation. I love who I am, and I love my Father who loved me so much that he created me to live on this Earth. That is the most amazing feeling in the world. Remember, He did, does, and always will love you. You are good enough and He is always one prayer away.

God created the Seven Wonders of the world, when indeed, He is the Wonder of the World.

If you are questioning anything at all read "Love Does" by Bob Goff. This man is amazing and a true testament of the person we should all strive to be.

Friendship. It's defined as the state of being attached to another person by feelings of affection or personal regard, but what really is friendship? Is it that occasional hallway talk with that one person who always manages to cheer you up? Is it that relationship you have with someone where they can be gone for a long period of time, but when they come back, it's like they never left? Is it spending every waking hour with someone, and knowing every detail about their life? Is it the relationship that's filled with fighting, but filled with even more resolution? I've learned that it's all of these things, and every friendship is different. It's a beautifully dysfunctional mess that should always be cherished and never be taken for granted.
