Throughout our lives we go through many experiences and have many, many moments that help make us who we are. As adults we carry many of these happy memories with us through everyday life. Essentially if we didn't have these we wouldn't be who we are today. Books are such amazing things, they give us the ability to travel to other worlds that are better than our own. Worlds where the hero always wins and villains are vanquished and true love always prevails. Worlds that have amazing magic and creatures.

We grew up with Harry Potter and it taught us all so many things like the fact that death is inevitable, love is irreplaceable, loss doesn't define us and so many more things. Life is such a precious thing and how we spend every moment matters. Would you rather look back and see "what ifs" or "I wishes", or would you rather look back and be able to say "I did"? A life wasted is worse than death (another thing Harry Potter taught us). So thank you J.K. Rowling for making my childhood be full of magic, love and friendship.

We survived the Hunger Games and we all learned some things along the way. Among many things we learned good and evil is very rarely black and white there are many, many grey areas. Strength isn't always about size or muscle, sometimes it's whats inside, and friendships no matter how short change us forever. Above all the lessons in the series though, trusting people can be hard but it's worth the effort, and that the smallest act of kindness can change your life forever.

What girl didn't fall in love with Augustus Waters in the 172 pages we knew him during The Fault In Our Stars. This book, as heartbreaking as it is, also teaches us some things as well. Remember to always be kind to people because you never know what battle they could be fighting. Also, as much as you wish for things, you can't always get what you want so never forget to experience life to the fullest, you only get one and when it's gone, it's gone.

These are just a few of the books that I have read there are many more that have taught me so much just as these have. The lessons I learned, I carry with me everyday. All the books I have read have changed me for the better and they made me who I am today. There is nothing wrong with getting lost in a good book, it doesn't make you a nerd. As readers we get to live many lives in one lifetime, we get to learn life lessons without making the actual mistakes. We learn of heartbreak, betrayal, bravery, courage, and many more things without ever leaving the comfort and safety of our bedrooms.

Through different series we get to meet so many different types of people, we become parts of fandoms, we find homes and places we can be ourselves, places we can belong. These places become a home away from home, where you can meet people from the same Hogwarts house as you, where you can meet other tributes and demigods, where there are shadow hunters around every corner, but most importantly, these places are where you can meet readers just like you.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
