Imagine if the world were re-created, making us go all the way back before the Big Bang ever occurred. Nothing but vast darkness and combusted gases. In this new world, Man would not exist.
Without Man existing, I tend to wonder if the world would be a better, or worse, place for life to exist.
And if life were to exist, would it exist as it does now?
What biological factors would differ from life now?
This is always a thought that enters my mind, mainly because we are not promised our existence. We act as if the Earth was made just for our evolution, yet we forget that the Earth was created from a combustion of gases and dismembered particles floating through space.
If the world were re-created, there are no promises we would be a part of it.
One slight change in atmospheric pressure, or even a slight change in the charges of any element in the periodic table, would change the way life exists on this new Earth.
What form of species would exist on this planet?
and if any were to exist, what would be their biological history?
Would life even exist, or would it be an inhabitable planet like Mercury or Venus?
The Earth has existed and has been creating life for billions and billions of years, who's to say that the re-creation of this world has no chance of happening once our world is swallowed by the death of the Sun?
Of course, that will not occur for millions, possibly billions, of years, but what happens to the Solar System once that occurs?
Earth will no longer exist.
There will be no place to call home.
There will be no one to call it home.
The destruction of the Earth will cause the extinction of Man.
The extinction of Man will give life another chance.
