What A Best Friend Wants Her Friend In A Bad Relationship To Know
Now. Here. This.

I think we can all say that at one point or another we have seen one of our really good friends in a relationship that was really not good for them. Whether he takes her for granted, doesn't treat her as well as he should or simply just doesn't realize how amazing she is, to see a great friend with a guy who doesn't see how great she is really sucks.

However, stepping up and voicing your opinion on the relationship isn't always easy. Speaking from experience, it's really hard to see if your relationship isn't healthy when you're the person in it. So when we see a friend in this situation, as much as we may try to warn her and tell her that only her best intentions are in our hearts, sometimes is just doesn't get through.

So this is to all the girls out there who have been in bad relationships, who are currently in an unhealthy relationship or are even trying to get over a hard breakup--even if she can't find the right words, I can guarantee you that this is what your best friend wants you to know.

You are so strong. Even if you can't see it or don't feel like it, you are so much stronger than you know. You never need anyone to complete you and you are capable of so much more than you could ever begin to realize. Never stay with a guy out of fear of being alone, because you have the strength you need to get you through anything. And even on the days you don't, I will be here giving you that strength.

You are so beautiful. If you could only see yourself through my eyes, you would realize just how beautiful you really are. Never let a man make you feel small, never let him challenge your self worth and never EVER compromise yourself to please a significant other. There is beauty in all of your flaws and all of your perfections, and a man who will love you the right way will be able to see that. As your best friend I can promise you that you should never doubt your beauty, inside or out.

You deserve the most unequivocal, unwavering kind of love. The person who is lucky enough to call you theirs and to be loved by you is going to be the luckiest person in the world. He will not hurt you, manipulate you or put you down. He will not take advantage of your kindness, stray away or take you for granted for a even a second. He will love you for exactly who you are and make that known to you every minute of every day, because that is what you deserve. I know this because you are my best friend even though it's a different kind of love, my love for you is undying, and that will never change.

And lastly, no matter what you are so going to be okay. Because boys and come may go but I, your best friend, will never leave your side.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?
