Do you ever just look at yourself? Like really take a long look and notice every single ounce of your being? Like how many hairs it takes to fill your head, or the different waves and breaks of color that make up your warm eyes. Or something as simple as a scar on your body that holds a memory reminding you by the notion of your skin repairing itself. I've taken notice of these little things; the veins in my mother's hands and how busy they always seem to be, the smile lines on my grandma's face and how they make her smile seem that much brighter-every little detail bringing me peace. The human form and all that it has to offer reminds me of the beauty of life.
Our bodies are thought of as an individual entity-- as a whole we are either in-shape, out-of-shape, strong, weak, etc. But what little pieces and parts make you the way you do? Each organ and cell and mechanism functioning a certain way to make you feel just so. How everything affects one another, and the chain reaction that is life itself with this interweaving design. Isn't it interesting how signals from your brain and your emotions, your radar almost, drives your actions and movements? But yet we are so small. The way we look at the world around us and our place within the world, we forget to notice and acknowledge all the little details that are working for us and falling into place so we can see the bigger picture. Our worlds are so minuscule but so complex.
I suppose I don't have an exact point I'm trying to make, nothing more than observations. I just can't fathom how every little detail had to be just so and how perfect everything has to work together and fit for us to be here; for us to be surrounded by loved ones. Your functioning body-a house for your soul, works continuously individually and as an entire entity so that we can find our purpose in life; to find joy, love and happiness. What a beautiful thing that is..
