Summer. A time for sunshine, flip flops, shorts, ice cream, carnivals, and barbecues. During the summer, barbecues become consistent. Every weekend or so you attend a barbecue and eat food typically found at such an event. But have you ever wondered what typical barbecue food or food item your college major is? Well, I have. And here's what I got.

1. Business Majors

You have to work with numbers and think economically. This work is tedious. At the end of the day, you want to relax and have fun. Also, as business majors, you have to be able to sell yourself to potential clientele. Therefore, you have been given an alcoholic beverage as your item. This item brings people together and breaks people out of their shell.

2. Criminal Justice Majors

Criminal Justice majors, welcome to your food item. You are the classic hamburger. Why the hamburger you may ask? Well, you have a lot of information to learn, mostly laws and ways of preventing criminal activity. All of that learning is the meat, the buns are the critical thinking aspects of how to apply your knowledge.

3. Environmental Majors

You have a wonderful perspective on the world, a healthy perspective if you will. You want to help the planet and prolong mankind's being on Earth. You believe that the world provides for its people, as long as we treat it well. Therefore, your food item is a salad. The healthy item at a barbecue that is made from the soil of the Earth!

4. Nursing Majors

Water is essential to keep hydrated and healthy. As nursing majors, you are constantly on the move when helping others and reminding them to stay hydrated in the hot weather. You also help us get better and stronger and everyone depends on you. Just like how people depend on a bottle of water to keep them hydrated!

5. Education Majors

As education majors, you have to teach to a variety of young growing humans. You teach in a variety of flavors. You can be sweet, but you also know when to be a bit more tart. Your main goal is to make your students happy through gaining knowledge. Just like ice cream and that is why you are the ice cream at a barbecue.

6. Physics Majors/ Astrophysics Majors

You have to do a lot of mathematical work and work with formulas. With physics, you are looking to explain the mysteries of life. One of those great mysteries may be, "Why is there so much space between where my chips begin and how big the bag is"? And that's why you are the bag of chips as a barbecue.

7. History Majors

The sausage has been around since the dawn of man. Since you like to know about the past and how it can affect our present and future. You have been given the sausage. This food item will travel through time with you.

8. Chemistry Majors

You are the fireworks at a barbecue. You surprise with your knowledge and because of you, we are able to have various colored fireworks! Also, you are the fireworks because any time you share something that someone hadn't previously known, their mind is blown.

9. Engineering Majors

You are the grill. Grills bring the delicious food to the table, just like how you bring wonderful products to us using critical thinking and creativity. Without you, we would not even have grills and barbecues would be boring!

10. Pharmacy Majors

You are the grilled chicken at a barbecue. Grilled chicken can be used in anything and it tastes delicious either way. As future pharmacists, you have a variety of things that you can do with your major. Grilled chicken is pretty healthy, and as pharmacy majors it is your job to keep your patients healthy.
