When I was little, I remember early Saturday and Sunday morning cartoons. Seeing "Teen Titans" and "Young Justice" fight crime was probably the greatest childhood experience I could've asked for. Knowing that someone is keeping us safe, and that there are people with amazing abilities that help others with nothing in return was amazing to me.
But, there was one Superhero that I never fully understood until I was older was Batman. He didn't have any powers, wasn't very violent, and seemed to be very anti-social with the other superheroes in the "Justice League."
But, when I was around 18 years old, I started getting more into Comic Book story lines. I would watch DC Animated movies for hours, and begin to understand the dynamic relationship between the Joker and Batman. These two characters at one point could have been the other. This has often been discussed, and I truly believe there will never be a more dynamic relationship in any form of media.
The ultimate question of why Batman doesn't kill the Joker came to mind, and it taught me one of the most important life lessons. Batman taught me that it's okay to not let the madness consume you.
There have been many times where the Batman has had the opportunity to kill the Joker, but he realizes that if he kills the Joker, he will be no better than the villains he fights.
Nowadays, the world seems to be overrun with hate and anger. We always seem to be angry with one another and hateful of others decisions, and Batman has shown us that there is no reason to be this way. He realizes that there are silver linings in every story, and that he has Robin, Alfred, Nightwing and others depending on what you read.
Batman will always be one of my biggest idols, and has had many stories told.
