I may come off a bit biased considering I come from a Polish-American family, but hey, we all tend to think quite highly of ourselves so please don't mind if I embrace my culture.

I come from a big family, and that family tree just keeps getting bigger. With that said, I've learned a lot growing up with Polish customs. The traditions, the values, and the holidays become a way of life. Having been brought up polish has been anything but boring. Here are 10 reasons that justify Polish power:

1. The food.

This traditional polish meal has my mouth salivating. Pierogi, Gołąbki, Rye bread, Kubuś, placki ziemniaczane, kielbasa -- whoops now I'm probably talking gibberish. Bottom line, Polish food can have you weak in the knees.

2. We have a holiday dedicated to pouring water on each other.

Polish culture celebrates the day after Easter, known as Śmigus-dyngus day, by sprinkling water on others as a sign of purity, health, and well-being. In today's world, kids take advantage of this day by using any chance they get to pour water on others as a prank. Oh don't get me wrong, the moral of the day is definitely still there...

3. Poland is a beautiful country.

Whether you're in the city or up hiking in the mountains, the sights are undeniably breathtaking.

4. We are the funniest, craziest people you'll ever meet.

5. Best weddings.

A typical wedding in Poland lasts two days. That's right people: not one day, but two. The ceremony begins around one on a Saturday afternoon and the reception lasts until midnight on Sunday. We sure know how to celebrate and keep the party alive! Word of advice: if wedding crashing is your game, consider crashing a Polish wedding.

6. This famous celebrity is polish.

Yes, the funny and talented man, myth, and legend Steve Carell is in fact polish. Makes sense now, doesn't it? Boom. Mic drop.
